Stir the lukewarm water and instant yeast until dissolved.
In a separate bowl, stir the flour, salt, and sugar.
Knead the dough with floured hands until it's a soft dough.
Let the dough rest for 60-90 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 balls and shape by pressing a hole in the middle.
Bring the water and agave/maple syrup to a simmer, then cook the bagels for 1 minute on each side.
Brush the bagels with vegan cream (and add sesame seeds if desired).
Bake the bagels at 220C/425F for 20 minutes.

RECIPE (8 muffins, 2h prep time):
Knead until it’s a soft dough (takes about 5mins).
Let it rest for 1 hour.
Shape into 8 balls.
Let them rest for 40mins.
Flatten each ball.
Fry on medium heat 4-5mins each side until fluffy.
