Combine all the dry ingredients including the dry yeast, with 3 cups of flour.
Add the beaten egg and milk.
Stir with a spoon adding enough flour to make a soft dough til it can barely be stirred anymore.
Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
Add the 16 pieces of sausage to the top of the dough.
Let rise about 1 hour and bake in a 350 oven for 40-45 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
