Tofu Bacon Bits
  1. Combine the coconut aminos (or soy sauce), vegan-friendly Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, tomato paste, maple syrup, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper in a bowl.

  2. Add ¼ cup of water and mix well to create the marinade.

  3. Thinly slice the tofu and break it apart into small bacon-bit-like pieces.

  4. Transfer the tofu to a bag or deep dish and add the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  6. Spread the tofu and the marinade across a large, greased baking sheet.

  7. Spray the tofu with more oil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes (or until crispy), flipping halfway through.

  8. If necessary, cook the tofu in batches depending on the size of your baking sheet.

  9. Keep a close eye on the tofu to ensure it does not burn.

  10. Once done, transfer the tofu bits to a paper towel to remove the excess oil.
