Pour cold water or juice into a bowl and sprinkle gelatin evenly across the surface.
Let the gelatin bloom undisturbed for 5 minutes until fully hydrated and spongy.
Add freshly boiling water to the bloomed gelatin.
Stir continuously for 1–2 minutes until completely dissolved and smooth.
Mix in sweetener and Kool-Aid if using for flavor.
Pour the liquid into a glass dish or silicone mold.
Refrigerate for 3–4 hours until firm and fully set.
Cut into cubes or shapes and optionally coat with sugar and citric acid.
