How To Make The Best Fall Off The Bone Oven Baked Ribs
  1. Preheat oven to 275° F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil.

  2. If the ribs have the thin white membrane along the back, remove it. It is usually easy to pull off with your fingers, but if not you can run a butter knife under the membrane and then use a paper towel to grip it and pull it off.

  3. Place ribs on the foil lined baking sheet, meaty side up.

  4. Combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Rub this dry rub mixture all over the meaty side of the ribs.

  5. Cover the ribs tightly with foil by wrapping a few sheets of foil around the baking sheet. (Alternatively, you can wrap each rack of ribs tightly with foil.)

  6. Bake for 3-3½ hours, until ribs are very tender. (Unwrap the ribs and pull off a small piece of meat to check for doneness.)

  7. Remove ribs from the oven. Preheat broiler to the low setting. Remove the foil covering the ribs and discard.

  8. Brush ribs with BBQ sauce. Place ribs under the broiler for 2-4 minutes, until the BBQ sauce just starts to caramelize. Watch them carefully so that they don't burn.

  9. Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
