Mix cheese and chutney together and spread over the veal.
Place half a banana on each piece of veal and roll up.
Secure with toothpicks.
Heat the butter or margarine in a heavy-based saucepan and fry the veal rolls until browned on all sides.
Add the remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
Remove toothpicks and garnish with the chopped shallots.
