Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan to prevent sticking.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until well blended.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, egg, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Over-mixing can lead to a tough loaf.
Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a cooling rack.
Mix powdered sugar and a dash of cinnamon. Add a few drops of milk if needed for thinning.
Drizzle the glaze over the cooled loaf, allow it to set, then slice and enjoy.
