Cinnamon Donut Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix—the batter should be slightly lumpy.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. While the bread is baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Melt the ¼ cup of butter in another bowl for brushing.

  7. Once the bread is baked, let it cool in the pan for 5–10 minutes. Remove it from the pan and brush the entire surface with melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the buttered bread, patting gently to help it adhere.

  8. If desired, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create a smooth glaze. Drizzle it over the cooled bread for an extra touch of sweetness.

  9. Slice the bread and enjoy the soft, cinnamon-sugar goodness! Pair with coffee, tea, or a glass of cold milk for a cozy treat.
