Perfect Rice In The Slow Cooker
  1. Thoroughly rinse rice in a fine mesh sieve until the runoff turns from cloudy to clear.

  2. Place the rinsed rice in the bowl of your slow cooker and sprinkle salt over the top.

  3. Pour water over the rice, and add the butter, if using.

  4. Cover and cook on low 2-2 ½ hours until rice is tender.

  5. Uncover, fluff rice with a fork, and then serve.
