Guinness Chocolate Crumb Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 pan with parchment.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients (eggs through vanilla).

  3. Add the baking soda, baking powder and salt and whisk to combine.

  4. Whisk in the cocoa until smooth, then finally the flour.

  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.

  6. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, milk powder and salt.

  7. Add the melted butter and use a spatula to gently mix together until the mixture forms pebbly crumbs.

  8. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over the cake batter and bake for 40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 190-200°F and the top springs back under your finger.

  9. To make the glaze, whisk 1 tsp of Guinness at a time into the powdered sugar until you have a thick but runny glaze.

  10. Drizzle glaze over the top of the cooled cake and enjoy
