Berry Bakewell Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºc/160ºc fan and grease and line a deep 8″/20cm cake tin

  2. Add your butter, sugar, flour, ground almonds, eggs, milk and vanilla to a mixer, and beat until smooth

  3. Fold the berries through the mixture, and add the mix to the tin

  4. Or, layer half of the cake mix in the tin, sprinkle over the berries, and add the other half of the mix on top

  5. Sprinkle the cake with the flaked almonds and bake in the oven for 50 minutes

  6. Leave to cool on a wire rack and sprinkle with the icing sugar
