Mango Puree
  1. Place the mango on a solid cutting surface with the skin still on. Use a sturdy knife to slice off the flesh of the mango on either side of the hard pit at the fruit's center. Score the two slices horizontally and vertically, taking care not to cut through the skin. Press your fingers into the skin side of the scored mango to invert the cubes, and carefully slice them away from the skin.

  2. Place the mango pieces into a blender and process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

  3. Transfer to a small bowl and serve immediately, or store until ready to use. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days or in the freezer for 4 to 6 months.

Mangoes are high and vitamin A and vitamin C, as well as dietary fiber and antioxidants. Their natural sweetness makes them a hit with babies. If you can’t find fresh mangoes, you can use frozen.
