Slow Cooker Short Ribs With Miso & Honey Glaze
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season short ribs with salt and pepper. Sear them for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Transfer to the slow cooker.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey, soy sauce, mirin, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and beef broth. Pour over the short ribs.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the meat is fall-apart tender.

  4. Remove the short ribs and keep warm. Strain the sauce into a saucepan. Mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the sauce. Simmer until thickened.

  5. Pour the thickened sauce over the short ribs. Sprinkle with green onions, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of toasted sesame oil. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
