Savory Baked Pita Chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a large baking sheet; set aside.

  2. Split pita bread rounds in half horizontally; cut each half into six wedges (24 wedges total).

  3. Brush pita wedges with olive oil.

  4. In a custard cup combine garlic powder, salt, chili powder, and, if desired, cayenne pepper.

  5. Sprinkle garlic powder mixture over pita wedges.

  6. Place pita wedges on prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake about 12 minutes or until golden brown and toasted.
