If using packaged shredded coconut, start by combining the coconut milk and shredded coconut in a bowl. Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes to soften. If using fresh, this step is not necessary.
Combine all the ingredients in the jar of a blender and blend until creamy and smooth.
Brush the inside and outside rims of 4 glasses with a little coconut milk or water. Dip the rim of each glass in shredded coconut to coat.
Divide the batida into the 4 rimmed glasses.
Serve immediately.
