Preheat the oven to 350F.
Line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and brown sugar.
Add the melted butter and vanilla extract and mix to combine. Mix just until a crumbly dough forms.
Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Set aside to cool completely while you prepare the filling.
Turn oven down to 325ºF.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs then add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and flour until fully incorporated
Stir in the vanilla, butter, and bourbon then add in the chocolate chips and pecans.
Pour on top of the shortbread crust and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until it's fully set.
Remove from oven and let cool completely
