Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
In a mixing bowl, toss the raw sunflower seeds with about a tablespoon of olive oil per cup of seeds.
Spread the sunflower seeds in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
The sunflower seeds are done when they are golden brown and have a nutty aroma.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the sunflower seeds cool completely.
