Add the oil, then onion and garlic to a sturdy pot and cook for 5 minutes.
Mix in the brown sugar, red wine vinegar and tomato paste.
Season with cumin, paprika and chilli powder.
Add two tins of chopped tomatoes and mix thoroughly.
Drain your beans then add the cannellini beans, kidney beans, chick peas and black beans.
Season to taste then let it simmer on a low heat for 60 minutes.
Serve with feta, parsley, lemon and olive oil.
