Heat oil in a pan for frying.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serve hot with yogurt sauce, tamarind-based dipping sauce, or as a sandwich filling.
