Chili Crisp

    General Method

  1. Mix ground pepper, gochugaru, MSG, soy sauce, salt, sugar, and black sesame seeds in another heat proof bowl.

  2. Mix onion, garlic, and oil in a pyrex bowl. Microwave on full power for 7-8 minutes, stopping every 2 minutes to stir. Stop when onions and garlic are golden and crispy.

  3. Strain oil from hot garlic and onions and pour onto ground pepper mix. (This may bubble a lot, mine did not.) Allow garlic and onions to cool and become crispy and chop roughly. Mix everything together.

Add sesame oil

Try sachuan pepper next time

Decrease salt and increase sugar a tad
