Berry Crumble & Homemade Custard
  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºc/180ºc fan

  2. Add the oats, flour, sugar and butter to a bowl and rub together to a breadcrumb texture

  3. Add the frozen berries to a new bowl and mix with the sugar, flour and lemon zest

  4. Pour this into a small/medium baking dish

  5. Sprinkle over the oat crumble

  6. Bake for 40+ minutes

  7. Add the egg yolks, sugar, cornflour and vanilla to a bowl

  8. Whisk together to light in colour

  9. Slowly pour in hot milk, whisking well

  10. Add back to the milk pan, and stir on the heat until thickened

  11. Serve with the freshly baked crumble
