Mix the grated cheddar with the dry ingredients.
Add filling mix and remaining liquid ingredients.
Into fully paper lined loaf pan. Bake at 180 45-55 min.
Pull out with baking paper. Serve hot or warm with butter.
For the filling: Sauté the sliced onions in the olive oil or butter until soft and caramelized. Add the ½ cup water and light soy sauce and cook until the liquid has reduced.
