Wash and halve fresh lemons, then squeeze to measure 2 tablespoons of juice.
Add 10 fl oz filtered water, 2 tbsp lemon juice, and 2 tbsp maple syrup to a glass.
Stir until the maple syrup dissolves completely.
Add ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper and stir again to combine.
Adjust cayenne to your preference; drink immediately for best flavor.
If needed, refrigerate up to 24 hours and add cayenne just before drinking.
