Banana Pudding
  1. Make Pudding:

  2. Whisk together sugar, cornstarch, salt, and egg yolks in a saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Slowly whisk in milk as the mixture summers, until smooth and thickened.

  4. Add butter, vanilla, and nutmeg.

  5. Remove from heat. Let cool and chill in fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight.

  6. Assembly:

  7. Grab a trifle bowl, a deep pie plate, or 9x13 glass baking dish. Create alternating even layers of pudding, wafers, and banana slices.

  8. Top with whipped cream, crumbled wafers, and a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like.
