To 375 degrees, turn on oven. Grease a 9-inch pie plate or quiche baking dish.
Chop the bacon and fry it in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-covered platter.
Sauté the chopped onion and sliced leek in the bacon fat until tender.
In a sizable bowl, combine nutmeg, cream, pepper, and eggs. Add grated Jarlsberg cheese and mix.
Whisk the bacon, onions, and leeks into the egg mixture. Pour into a buttered pan and bake for 40 minutes until the center is firm and the top is lightly browned. Let cool for five minutes before serving.
