Swedish Apple Pie
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Core and slice apples.

  3. Fill 9-inch pie plate two-thirds full with apples.

  4. Sprinkle with brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.

  5. Combine melted butter, sugar, flour, and eggs adding a pinch of salt and a dash of vanilla. Spread thick mixture over apples.

  6. Bake 45 minutes.

  7. Cool at least an hour, preferably one or even two days, so the apples have time to set.
