The Only Bacalaitos Recipe You Need
  1. Rinse bacalao and let sit in a bowl with water for 3 hours

  2. Grab a pot and add water, bring to a boil and add bacalao, boil for 30 minutes

  3. Remove bacalao and set aside. Once cooled down, shred bacalao and remove any bones

  4. In a bowl add flour, baking powder, and warm water. Mix well

  5. Add garlic, bell pepper, cilantro, oregano, adobo, sazon, and bacalao. Mix well

  6. In a large frying pan heat oil over medium high heat to 350 degrees

  7. Using a soup ladle add batter into the oil, making sure to not crowd the pan. Fry for a few minutes on each side till crispy

  8. Set aside on paper towels and serve with mayoketchup on the side
