  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese.

  2. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

  3. Form the mixture into four evenly sized hamburger patties, each about 4 inch thick.

  4. Let the patties rest at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes before cooking. This helps the flavors meld together and ensures the patties hold their shape when cooked.

  5. Grilll the patties over medium heat on a preheated grill, flipping only once, until they reach your desired doneness. For a medium-rare burger, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F, and for well-done cook to 160°F.

PREHEAT OVEN to 375°F. Place patties onto prepared baking sheet then bake for 20-25 minutes or until burgers reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
