Chocolate-dipped Honeycomb
  1. Line a 9" tin with baking paper and place it to one side

  2. Add caster sugar and golden syrup to a large saucepan on a medium heat. When they start to melt, stir together to combine then leave it without stirring

  3. Allow the sugar to gradually dissolve into the golden syrup and the mixture to boil, keeping watch but not stirring

  4. When it starts to boil vigorously, take it off the heat and immediately add in the tablespoon of bread soda, stirring immediately to reach all corners of the pot until it becomes a foamy mixture

  5. As soon as the bread soda is mixed in, pour the honeycomb into the prepared tin

  6. Leave to cool to room temperature then pop it into the fridge to cool completely for about an hour

  7. Break it into pieces and dip in melted chocolate

  8. Allow the chocolate to set then package up nicely
