Preheat oven to 350f.
Line square baking pan with parchment paper.
Dice ⅓ of the fruit.
Halve the rest.
Combine and rub together sugar and zest.
Add liquids.
Separately combine dry ingredients.
Add to wet ingredients.
Pour half into baking pan, smooth, and top with diced fruit.
Add remaining batter, smooth, add top with halved berries.
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cover with foil if it’s browning too fast.
Let cool 15-20 minutes, remove from pan, finish cooling on rack.
Dust with icing sugar, slice, & serve.
