Maple Candied Nuts confectionery
  1. In a pot over medium heat, add all of your ingredients and bring the syrup up to a bubbling simmer.

  2. Mix the nuts with a rubber spatula as the syrup simmers, making sure you coat all of the nuts. Do this for 10-15 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated. Once all of the syrup has evaporated and the sugar has thickened around the nuts, turn off the heat.

  3. Lay the nuts on a sheet tray and spread in an even layer. Let them cool/dry for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes you should have hardened candied nuts. If they are still sticky, return them to the pot to cook the rest of the way. Store them at room temperature in a bag or jar and enjoy.

  4. I would sprinkle with flaky sea salt at some point.
