  1. Break up pretzels and place in a uniform layer on a lined baking tray

  2. Add butter and sugar to a pot on high heat

  3. Once melted and bubbly, mix well and leave to boil for 4-5 minutes

  4. Pour caramel mixture over the pretzels

  5. Place tray in oven at 180°C for 5-7 minutes until caramel bubbles again

  6. While baking, roughly chop dark chocolate

  7. Remove tray from oven and scatter chocolate over the caramel

  8. Spread chocolate with an offset spatula or silicone spatula

  9. Add desired toppings and salt flakes

  10. Place in refrigerator to set
