In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt, and butter with your hands until the mixture has the consistency of cornmeal.

Pour the dough onto a floured surface and press it out evenly. Then, fold the dough from each side, followed by folding the top and bottom.
Once the dough is folded, pat it down into a rectangle about ½-inch thick.
Use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut out your biscuits.
Place the biscuits on a buttered baking sheet or cast-iron pan.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and bake the biscuits for 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
