Peel the bananas and cut each one in half (or leave whole if you prefer longer bites)
Use a straw to carefully push through the middle of each banana to make a small tunnel for the peanut butter
Spoon or pipe peanut butter into the hole of each banana
Place the filled bananas on a tray and freeze for 15 minutes
Melt dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in 20-second bursts
Stir until smooth
Mix the crushed peanuts into the melted chocolate
Using a fork or skewer, dip each banana into the chocolate mixture, coating it evenly
Let excess chocolate drip off
Place chocolate-coated bananas back onto a tray lined with baking paper
Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate is set
Slice if desired, or enjoy as a whole bite-sized treat
