Japanese Bbq Meatloaf
  1. Set the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a large pan over medium heat add some oil. Onion and cook until translucent.

  3. When translucent add the garlic and cook for about 10 minutes. Set aside until ready to mix with the meat.

  4. In the meantime, to a large bowl add the ground beef, mustard powder, ginger, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  5. Add the hoisin, ponzu, BBQ sauce, eggs, and bread crumbs. Evenly incorporate everything together with your hands.

  6. Next, add the sautéed onion and garlic to your meat mixture, put the meaty mixture into a loaf pan, and shape it into a loaf.

  7. To a small bowl, add all the sauce ingredients and mix.

  8. Bake for about 45 minutes then remove and add the sauce on top.

  9. Bake for another 15 minutes uncovered with the sauce.

  10. Let cool for a couple of minutes, cut into slices, serve with sides of choice, and enjoy!
