Wash and grate the carrot
Chop the onion into small bits
Measure out your rice and rinse several times in water until the water runs clear
Pour olive oil into a pot and bring to medium-high heat (e.g level 7 on an induction/ceramic hob)
Fry the carrots and onion in the oil for about 5 minutes, stirring it every so often
Add in the rice and fry for another 5 minutes, stirring it every so often
Add in the water and once it starts boiling add the stock cube and salt to taste
Cover with a lid and cook on very low heat for 15 minutes (e.g level 3 on an induction/ceramic hob)
