Saucy Shredded Brisket In The Instant Pot
  1. Generously rub brisket with salt and pepper

  2. Heat avocado oil in a large pot until very hot

  3. Add brisket pieces fat side down and leave undisturbed for 5-6 minutes

  4. Flip brisket to the other side and leave undisturbed for 5 more minutes until seared

  5. Remove meat from pot and lower heat to medium

  6. Add carrots, onions and garlic to the pot, sautéing for 4 minutes

  7. Add smoked paprika, dried thyme, ground black pepper, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth

  8. Mix together and let cook for 3-4 minutes

  9. Transfer the mixture to an instant pot and add the brisket back in

  10. Squeeze lime juice into the pot

  11. Cover and set to high pressure for 1 hour 40 minutes

  12. Once done, do a quick release

  13. Blend the liquid using an immersion blender or regular blender to create the sauce

  14. Plate as desired and pour sauce on top

  15. Garnish with fresh chives and serve
