Melt the butter and golden syrup together and pour over the dry ingredients, mixing till well combined.
Using a tbsp measuring spoon, place mixture on to a lined baking tray. I then use a glass to lightly flatten then using the open end, birl it around the mixture to make little circles.
I cook mine for 15 minutes at 180c fan and that yields a crispy edge and slightly chewy middle. If you like them crisp all through, bake at 160c fan for 20-25 minutes - keeping an eye on them.
When they are still hot, lightly flatten then again birl the biscuits into a neat round shape using a glass or a cookie cutter.
Leave to cool on a rack.
Spread with the chocolate of your choice or enjoy simply with a nice cup of tea.
