Make white rice and steam your favorite vegetable like broccoli.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Season chicken thighs with salt, black pepper and corn starch. Massage well into chicken.
In a skillet or cast iron skillet add 2 tablespoons olive oil and cook and sear the chicken on medium heat for approximately 7-8 minutes (cover if needed to keep the heat in), flip and cook another 7-8 minutes (add olive oil if needed or seems to dry).
Make space in the center and add a pat of butter.
Add in the garlic and cook garlic on low heat. Don't burn the garlic. About 30 seconds.
Add in the sauce (give it a good mix first).
The sauce will start to bubble and thicken. Add parsley and chili flakes. Flip the chicken a few times to get a good coating of the sauce. Remove from the heat so you don't lose all the sauce.
Serve immediately over rice and your favorite vegetables.
