Kombucha
  1. Make a tea concentrate by boiling 4 cups of filtered water and steeping loose-leaf tea for 15 minutes.

  2. Add cane sugar to the hot liquid and dissolve.

  3. Strain out the tea leaves and add the sweet tea to a 1-gallon glass jar.

  4. Add cool/cold water to dilute the tea.

  5. Add starter tea and SCOBY to the jar.

  6. Cover the jar with a tight-weave cloth and secure with a rubber band.

  7. Let it sit at room temperature in a shady spot with airflow for around a week.

  8. Start tasting the brew around the 5-day mark and continue until desired taste is reached.
