Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Drain and wash chickpeas.
In a food processor, blend the chickpeas, nut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until very smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough into 12 balls onto on a parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheet.
Gently flatten each ball with your fingers or the back of a spoon.
Bake for 12-14 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before removing from the pan.
