Christmas Sugar Cookie
  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.

  2. Add dry ingredients and stir.

  3. Chill dough in refrigerator for at least two hours or overnight.

  4. Roll out dough on lightly floured board, ¼ inch thick for soft cookies, ⅛ inch thick for crisp cookies, and cut out cookies.

  5. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes on non-stick cookie sheet. Watch closely, as they only get tinge of brown on edges.

  6. Frost with confectioner sugar frosting.

  7. Decorate as desired.
