Crockpot Salisbury Steak with Premade Patties
Ingredients:
Brown the Patties (Optional but recommended):
In a skillet over medium heat, quickly brown the beef patties for about 2 minutes per side. (You’re not cooking them through — just adding flavor.)
Layer in Crockpot:
Place the sliced onions and mushrooms (if using) in the bottom of the crockpot.
Lay the browned or frozen patties on top.
Mix the Sauce:
In a bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, dry onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and ½ cup water or broth. Pour this mixture over the patties.
Cook:
• Low for 5–6 hours
• or High for 3 hours
Optional Thickening:
If you want a thicker gravy, in the last 30 minutes, mix the cornstarch and water and stir it into the crockpot. Let it cook uncovered for a bit to thicken.
Serve:
Instructions:
Over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.

Notes:
• You can use frozen hamburger patties directly without thawing, just add an extra 30 minutes to the cook time.
• Add a dash of garlic powder or a little mustard powder to the sauce if you like a little extra zip.

Would you also like a version with a homemade brown gravy instead of the cream soups? (It’s still super easy!)
