In a large bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, pepper and, if desired, red pepper flakes. Add steak and toss to coat.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add steak; cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned on the edges, 3-4 minutes. Place on a plate and set aside.
Add butter to the pan; once melted, add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add steak bites back to the pan and stir to coat. Stir in parsley.
