Philly Cheesesteak Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm up the olive oil. Add the ground beef, breaking it up into smaller pieces as it cooks. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Cook for about 7-8 minutes or until fully browned, stirring occasionally. Remove the meat and drain any excess fat.

  3. In the same skillet, add the diced onions and bell peppers. Sauté the vegetables until they soften and begin to caramelize—about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.

  4. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Stir to combine everything evenly. Add the Worcestershire sauce and allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Stir in the cream cheese until it melts and coats the beef and veggie mixture evenly.

  6. Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to a lightly greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.

  7. Place the slices of provolone cheese over the top of the beef mixture, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top.

  8. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.

  9. Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
