Sister’s Simple Pot Roast
  1. Spray the bottom of a crock pot or slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray, or brush with olive oil. Place roast in the slow cooker. (If desired, you can sear the sides of the roast in a hot skillet on the stove before adding to the crockpot.)

  2. Sprinkle the dry gravy packet over the top of the roast, then add the apple cider vinegar, and place the two pads of butter on top of the roast. Cover the slow cooker with a lid.

  3. Cook the roast on low setting for 8-10 hours or high for 6-7 hours. After cooking, remove the tender meat and shred with two forks, removing any fatty pieces.

  4. Return the shredded meat back to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the remaining sauce.
