Chicken And Penne Salad With Lemon-dill Vinaigrette
  1. Trim beans, and cut into 1-inch pieces.

  2. Bring 4 qts water to boil, salt generously.

  3. Cook pasta according to package directions, going about 2-3 minutes past al dente so pasta stays soft after refrigeration (for Barilla, this is 13-14 minutes)

  4. 5 minutes before pasta is done, add green beans (for Barilla, this is the 8-min mark).

  5. Drain pasta and green beans, rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Allow to drain for 5-10 minutes (you can also use a salad spinner).

  6. Combine green beans, pasta, chicken, onion, tomato, cheese, and dill. Drizzle with vinaigrette; toss.
