Cook the Rice – In a pot, combine glutinous rice, coconut milk, water, and salt. Stir well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until rice is fully cooked and sticky. Let it cool slightly.
Caramelize the Sugar – In a pan over medium heat, melt the dark brown sugar until it starts to bubble. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
Fry the Rice – Add the cooked glutinous rice to the caramelized sugar. Stir well to coat the rice evenly. Fry for about 3-5 minutes, pressing it slightly against the pan to create crispy bits.
