  1. Proof the yeast by mixing lukewarm milk with 2 tbsp sugar and yeast

  2. Combine proofed yeast mixture with 1 large egg and ¼ cup sugar

  3. Mix in all purpose flour and salt

  4. Add 3 tbsp butter or margarine to the dough

  5. Knead until dough reaches desired consistency, adding more flour if needed as different flours absorb liquid differently

  6. Prepare topping by mixing 70 grams butter and ⅓ cup sugar

  7. Shape dough into rolls and apply butter-sugar topping

  8. Apply egg wash with optional extra egg if desired

  9. Bake until golden brown
