Award-winning Chili (Mom’s)
  1. Combine tomatoes, onion, celery, carrot, tomato paste, steak sauce, bell peppers, and wine in a large pot. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.

  2. While the tomato mixture simmers, cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels.

  3. Cook the turkey and sausage in the bacon drippings over medium-high heat until brown and crumbly; drain. Stir in chili seasoning.

  4. Stir seasoned meat, bacon, and cumin into the tomato mixture. Continue to simmer until the vegetables are tender and the flavors are well blended.

  5. Stir in the beans, and parsley, cook until heated through.
